INTRODUCING "YOUNG GRACE"......A TALENTED RAPPER FROM RWANDA

She becomes more popular every other day; all thanks to the rap style that she brought to recognition in the Rwandan music industry.


Abayizera Marie Grace a.k.a Young Grace was born in Rwanda on the 21st September 1994 to Mr. Samson Turatsinze and Mrs. Immaculate Yankurije.


Young Grace studied primary school at Centre des Jeunes Gisenyi and the secondary school at Lycée de Gisenyi (in the first year), second and third year at EPKA Gisenyi. She went on to the fourth and fifth year at GSK in Ruhengeri and the last year at Ami des Enfants in the option of History, Economics and Geography (HEG).


Young Grace began her carrier around 2010, when she released her first song titled Hip Hop Game. This song didn’t hit in capital city of Rwanda (KIGALI) except in Northern Province of Rubavu popularly known as Gisenyi, where her family is settled.


Later she released other songs like Adresse, Bible, Sinareka Muzika, Mpa Umusada-featuring Jay Polly, Uri Final, Ikigusha featuring Knowless, Ikimenyane featuring Lil G and Aravugiriza featuring Empress from Uganda.


She began making a name in Kigali through different performances and promotions and she was admired by youth in Kigali and its neighborhood as well as in the northern Rubavu province. Based on this continuous success, Grace became more popular through 2010 and she got an award of the Best Teen Artist of the year 2010 at Salax Awards.


Due to her hard working spirit, Young Grace is now in category of the Best female of the year 2011 in SALAX Awards that are organized by Ikirezi Group. The other contestants in this category are: Knowless, Miss Jojo and Oda Passy.
