INTRODUCING "MO RED".....A TALENTED UGANDAN RnB ARTIST

The MGUSO music industry has a new face that surfaces each day that comes by, and this young man Mo Red Real names Mo Mayanja maybe a new face in Uganda but the truth is that he has been singing for some time now even before he came back to Uganda.

Mo red has spent sometime in the US where he has been studying architecture in New York. Last year he decided to come back and settle in his home country after 10years.  Mo Red who is passionate about doing music, drives his inspiration from some of the great RnB artists that rocked the 90s.

We first heard of Mo red in 2010 when the Boston based group ‘Batabazi’ did the attribute song Rise up in memory of all the Ugandans that lost their lives in Kampala during the tragedy bomb blast of 2010. He was the guy singing the hook, that’s when he was under basement entertainment, the label that manages Batabazi.

Mo Red since his return from the US has tried to see that he gets his spot in the competitive Ugandan music industry; he knows it will not come easily but with hard work. Mo Red has shot a very classy video called Marry me, which is well scripted and lots of details were given attention, from the costumes of the extras and the room colours, you will see that the colour white and red is given attention, maybe it’s the good creativity of the directors, the video was shot and directed by Twisted/Visualz.

In the song audio Marry Me produced by Nash of Crystal clear studio, Mo red confesses his love to one lady and he sings assuring her of marriage as long as she says yes. The quality of the song is good, though his vocals sound like Toniks. Mo Red is working on a number of new projects with different producers like Washington, Legend P and many more, he says at the moment he is testing the waters and he will be doing songs in different languages like Runyankole, Luganda and English. His latest song is  She makes you say, which the remix is going to feature an artist Mo Red thinks is the biggest dancehall artist in Uganda, though he didn’t mention the name of the artist.

Judging from the only two projects that he has got out, Mo red is a good artist and we can give a green light to him. He will be working on a new video very soon.
